What do you use as replacement Fuel Tank mounting rubbers?
1985 Australian issue with alloy tank, front rubber strap type.
Is there a suitable stick-on rubber that will do the job, or is there some form of frame tube mounted rubber that is a better option?

Anyone have correct throttle cable lengths for std 36 carbs?

Thanks for any help.

I do not own an F1a, so do not know what the tank rubbers look like. However, NOS 008 and 009 on this page were in common use then. Good people to buy from. MikeV

I see from the F1a parts manual on this site that the tank buffers appear to be long square strips. Never seen one in person.

Here is what I believe is a set of 36mm carb throttle cables: H is 33 inches total, 27 3/4 for just the sheath: V is 44 1/2 total, 39 1/4 for just the sheath; free cable and barrel lengths outside the sheaths is 4 7/8 inches.

Hope this helps. MikeV

I took a look, I have some OEM cables from an 87. Slightly different numbers
Long cable 44 3/4 and 40 1/2 sheath
Short cable 28 3/4 and 24 1/2 sheath
These are used, but were take taken off early, will sell them if you want them.

Clay
ps I am new to the list, I will have a little pile of F1 parts for sale that I will post up.

Thanks for the responses, Mike and Cal.
The cable info will save me some time.
Looks like stick-on rubber is what I will use.
Cheers.
