Hello,
I just recently scrounged up an 87 F1 in USA. Can someone tell me how to determine for sure what model it is. I think its a B, may be a Laguna Seca. Some think that 87 is too late in the USA for a B.

Regards,
Clay

Easiest thing first is to show us a photo, and we can go on from there....

Hey Nick,
Thanx for the response. I was actually trying not to give a pic at this point. I was hoping that someone could definitively tell me via some factory records/coding from vin or S/N type data. Then I will do some pics :-)

This is a barn find, I bought from original owner who raced from 1988 to about 1991 and its allegedly been sitting undisturbed since that time.

Here is a picture.......
1987 model, Vin is a ZDM3 prefix, my understanding is that the "3" means competition bike. The engine prefix is DM750L. Anyone ever seen this one before? Pic is as found after sitting since 91. But bike was stored properly with dry tank and carbs. Clean oil in the motor (assuming you can store a bike properly for that long.....)

My 87 F1 has the same ZDM3.... VIN number (USA according to Falloon), and the engine the same DM750...but no L. Hope this helps some. MikeV
