Hi,
Are there dates codes on old Michelin slicks from the 80's? Do they use a code like a DOT tire or something else??

Thanx,
Clay

You might run that question past Sto at Motorace. He has been a long time Michelin race tire rep at Loudon, and always super helpful.

Those markings look about the same as my tires.....only the one long series of alpha/numeric to the left of the SV12 mark looks like it could mean something. I did send a note to Motorace.

If they are from the 80's......they are the hard compound now!!!
