Hello...
I have an F1 header pipe that I would like to include in the sale of a motor but suspect the secondary pipe length may have been shortened. The one I have is four inches. Can anyone confirm this to be the correct length?
Regards....

I could not measure mine, but it seemed to be approximately four, perhaps six inches long.

See pic........measuring down the weldline of the collector, about 6 inchs to next weld, just over 4inch from last weld to end of pipe.

Hey Clay!

Did anyone have a muffler for you last year when you asked?
Got a friend who is restoring an -86 F1 and he is looking for an original muffler.

Hi Björn,
No, I didnt have any luck on the muffler and then I sold the headpipe.

At the time, it seemed like best source for muffler was Italspares (Ian Gowanloch). I think he had a short and a long Conti muffler and 1 Verlicchi style pipe that was available. The black chrome long pipes were only about $400 US. Beat up junk that shows up on ebay is usually more than that.

Regards,
Clay
