I got a pair of Orlandi fuel taps two years ago and the both now leak internally. I got them from a well-respected source in California, but every time I ask about replacement internal gaskets, I am told they are in transit.

Can anyone recommend a good set of manual fuel taps for the F1? I need to fix this situation once and for all.

This is what I now have:

Internal gaskets ? I just took those apart,cleaned everything, flipped the rubber and put them back together.
In the few occasions when that didn't work, just made a new rubber.
All those Orlandi's I've taken apart had the same internals.

This version has a rubber gasket with flanges or protrusions on the inside part of the holes. This is where my problem lies: The gaskets move and they cover the wrong holes.

I have some alternate style taps on order along with hopefully correct Orlandi gaskets. We'll see.

Hi - repair of Orlandi taps is easy, you need viton rubber sheet (can't remember if it was 3 or 4mm thick) and some hole punches for small holes and small scissors for outside diameter. The rubber disc should not turn as it is located by small tubular projections in main body, concentric to fuel passages. Use original disc as pattern. Or you could revert to original tap layout which is vacuum centre tap and strange, mechanical lever tap on right side. Mechanical tap is unique to F1 and 350/650 Cagiva, they do come up for sale occasionally as old stock Cagiva. Hope it helps - Richie.

Looking at the Orlandi and Paioli taps, just found out that the only difference is in the thickness (and so bigger orifice) of the only moving part : the "mushroom".
The rubber that fits in the tap (and over the three inlets/outlet orifices) is the same, just a circular piece of rubber (better take one that can handle the "stuff" ) with three holes in it.
Taking the electronic balance out today, think I found some aluminium taps that weigh just a tad less
