Hi!
Yesterday I rode my F1 again after only 24 years of renovation... 8-) It ran and behaved really well for about 80kms. then it started misfire a died. Battery did not manage to turn the motor so assumed it was the classic, almost normal charging problem. Trailered it home and found one of the connectors from the generator was loose, so easy to fix this time!

When I bought most of the parts 20 years ago I could not find the original 1985 screen, so bought the 1986 onwards, which is like a barn door. Does anyone know if the 1985 screen is available anywhere in the world?

Thanks,
Björn

Hi Lou!
No, that is the really low, flat screen from the Laguna Seca and Santa Monica. In fact there are three types:
F1 A 1985 - low, image 1
F1 B 1986 to 1988 plus Montjuich, barndoor, image 2
(both seen in image 3, low one in the background)
Laguna Seca and Santa Monica - flat, image 4

I think that the low one was n/a pretty quick, and replaced by the barndoor.

Thanks
Björn

These folks make quality screens. The TT2 screen is nice. Is this what you are looking for? Lou
