From the same bike. Strap is almost like the bevel ones only shorter and not quite as thick. It is 235mm long between pin centers. Pins 42mm long. Tray is 90mm x 140mm x 21mm outside dimensions. Hole is 28mm x 88mm.

Thanks Bill - it's a big help.

Does anyone know if the original upper fairing support (the one that mounts on the steeing head nut) was painted, chromed or polished?

Black paint (glossy).

Next question:

Should the rear P05 brake caliper be the same colour as front P08's (black)? I managed to get hold of 2 new front calipers, but haven't been succesful in locating a new rear one, so I'm going to overhaul it. Currently it looks like it has been sprayed silver by the previous owner.

I certainly appreciate all the help that everyone has been offering - it's making my restoration go a lot easier than it would have otherwise.

Try Ian Gowanloch for your rear 05 caliper.
Italspares on ebay or email him iangowanloch@bigpond.com

Here are some photos that I copied off of eBay several years ago that may be useful to you. There are more general ones if you want me to put them up. Appears to be a later (?) B and rather unmolested, but I know nothing about this particular bike. Mine has a different muffler and no mirrors. Would say the tank pad is aftermarket.

Post subject:  Re: 750 F1 Specs & Info

Thanks again guys, the pictures are a great help - I've been compiling a folder with as many detailed photos as I can find (it all helps). This one looks like a bit of a mix between an '86 & '87 ('86 mirrors but with '87 graphics). Any & all photos are appreciated.

I have been annoying the crap out of Ian Gowanloch lately - I've managed to get some great stuff from him & he is a nice guy to deal with too. Looks like another e-mail is in the wind for a brake caliper.

Take good care of Ian, he's as good as it gets.
