Carlo,
I mentioned you because I thought you made very nice disc brake rotors and carrier assemblies. Was I correct?

Hello Bill, as I told you, I can not understand the whole meaning of your speech, your English is different from English in England, and the simultaneous translator does not work well.

However you still say that the disc brakes of Carlo leoncini are the most beautiful in the world!

Sorry if I do not understand, but I'm very happy to be with you all.

Can anyone tellme which spark plug cap was used on the '86 F1? A good photo would also help if anyone has one.

Hello, this is the photo of my Montjuic, I think they are original, given that the bike has done a few kilometers.

I hope I was of your help.

Carlo

Hi Clinton, Carlos picture is of the proper spark plug cap. It is a Bosch #035 635 027, also has a 5K RTFM20 number. Interesting it has a Bosch cap on a motoplat coil. I think Bosch bought Motoplat. I bet you can still get these on ebay or other suppliers. Let me know if you have trouble, I might have some used ones somewhere. Lou

Thanks Lou, I had narrowed it down to the Bosch unit but needed some confirmation - these are pretty readily available new, but I haven't found any in OZ yet (the rest of the suppliers I found on-line wont ship to OZ). I'm running down another couple of options right now.Clinton

I've got a used battery rubber kicking around somewhere and you're welcome to it - zip an email off to me and we'll set something up..

Thanks for the offer Steve, but Ian Gowanloch ended up finding me a new one that he had stashed away.

On another note, can anyone get me photo of how the iginition switch is mounted? Mine has a pair of special bolts (maybe pillars?) and I believe there should be a pair of spacers as well? If anyone can give me the OD & length of the spacers it would be appreciated. The parts book just shows normal capscrew bolts with the mounting the wrong way around.

Also, my clipons had a pair of domed head bolts mounting them (at least one did). From looking through all my photos of other bikes it would appear that these were correct, but the parts book lists the same bolt as used in the lower triple pinch bolt which cant be correct as the former is only 6mm whilst the latter is 8mm. Does anyone know of a part number for these?

I've managed to track down a NOS voltage regulator for my project, after working out that the one fitted was in fact after market. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the wiring harness should have a 6 pin connector fitted to mate into the regulator, or if it uses individual female spade type connectors for each pin (I hope that makes sense). The wiring schematic doesnt help, as it tends to identify each multi pin connector in the harness, but not for the regulator as such. I've attached a couple of photos of the regulator to show what I'm on about:
