Thanks to Carlo for this lead. A replacement for the rear shock rubber boot (P/N 067572350) is an Alfa Romeo P/N 1050651151, which seem pretty easy to find.

Can anyone help me out with a photo or two showing the correct routing of the throttle cables & another showing the rear brake lever return spring & how it is fitted to the frame?

, not sure if my throttle cables are right as the rear one is far too long.

After countless hours of searching, I finally located the correct 9 pin connector for the LH switch gear. This is a Hitachi HP9N non-latching connector & is available from here:

Mine was run over the top of the rear head ex factory. Replaced it with clear green Cavis line & you can see a long section of air as its higher than the tap.... Somehow doesn't seem to affect running as there's always a 'head' of gas in the section of line up from the carb, but was planning to re-route it down the RHS & round the back of the rear cylinder as you see on many bikes.

Does anyone know if the original rear sprocket was anodised gold on the '86 F1, or was it a hit & miss affair like so many other bits? This is the about the last item I have been trying to locate for my resto. If anyone has a photo from one of their bikes that is known to be original it would be appreciated (a NOS sprocket even more so).
