Hi folks, am after a front brake piston & seal kit for my F1, but having a little trouble tracking one down.
The local Duc dealer recons they are no longer available, & has suggested trying a close imperial size Chevy seal. Neither Italspares nor Gowanlochs have any but had advised its a 15mm size. So I bought 15mm 'bevel' rebuild kit from Bevel Heaven (assuming it was the same master as on bevels) but its significantly larger & the piston wont come close to fitting inside the cylinder let alone the seals.
The F1 master cylinder is #110.2729.00, bore dia definitely less then 15mm, piston dia is 14.25mm & the 'relaxed' seal dia is 14.7mm.
Any leads greatly appreciated as the resto is now otherwise complete, the Verlicchi reverse cone is making beautiful noise in the garage, & i'm itching to get out & ride it while summers still here....
Andrew

Hello Andrew, if you get stuck you can try a good brake repair place to see if they have the seals you need. If you are in Oz, (you mentioned still being summer) try BHSS at CAPALABA in Brisbane, ask to talk to John. Good luck. Graeme

Andrew,
I purchased my kit from Loudbike Steve & it fitted perfectly - I'd suggest you drop him a line.

Hi Andrew - if you are located UK try Motomecca spares (Google them for contact detail). They are very helpful and knowledgeable and helped me out with various seal kits including for P432D calipers which are difficult to come by. Incidentally you should find a serial number stamped on the underside of the bottom lever lug on your master cyl. This would be all anyone should need to supply the correct seal kit (from memory they came in 14mm and 15mm piston diameters but don't quote me on that). Hope this is some help - Richie.

I have found out that the master cylinder is from a Brasilia. Not readily available in US. A type 3 kit can be used to rebuild this cylinder. I think Purring Pumas probably have these cylinders. Gary
