Can anyone tell me if these are period correct for the 1986 F1:

I ask this as the pair that I purchased NOS for my restoration do not have the knurling.

I remember that my first F1 had plain red plastic versions. With a hole in one for the left side tank vent tube through the clipon upper end. MikeV

My all time favorite Ducati part! Very early 851's had them too, as well as some of Ducati's most stylish racers of the day.

Thanks guys. The ones in your photo are the ones that I have for mine Bill. I guess it was the same as everything else - whatever was available at the time went onto the bike.

The '86 I assembled, and my '87 F1B the next year both had the smooth ones in Bill's photo.

Maybe the knurled ones got used on the F1A...Image
