Hey, Rich: The shock looks excellent - I know you put a lot of time into the process. There's another option for those of you looking for a shock for your TTs & F1s; I've been using Stadium shocks (out of Quebec, Canada) on my bikes for the last 10 years or so and would say that the price/performance is midway between Ohlins and Penske. We've been accumulating data on the various swing arm / frame combinations and valving for a while now and have set-up a reseller agreement with Stadium so we can supply their shocks with specific builds for TTs and F1s with a variety of frame / swing arm combos. They're custom built to rider / bike weight and type of riding with about a two-week order lead-time. Remote reservoir, hi & lo-speed compression damping and ride height adjustment.. I just had one built for my TT1 and another for the DB1. I'd planned to have them on the store by the end of the month, but if you need one before then feel free to drop me a line. 10% discount for board members... Regards,

Hi Rich. That great "accessory" you have put Recently I have acquired an original marzocchi and new rear shock absorber of F1 ...it will be screwed to a swingarm one known by you Saludos |

Hi Steve, On a bit of a side track here, With yourself involved in building a Bimota DB1, can you offer a "Stadium" shock to suit the DB1 ? I have been researching Ohlins(modern style TTX36 & old school 36/40mm body units etc) but with me having to reduce the outside diameter of the spring to enable the FCR 41 carbs to fit, does raise clearance issues with the shock/rear carb. The shock will require remote reservoir,and the usual ability to "fine tune" the shock( comp/rebound/spring pre-load) If yourself or any other "TT2/F1" enthusiasts can shed any light as to a solution would be appreciated. Hey, Rascal: Yeah - We were able to come up with a solution for the DB1, although it's not entirely turn-key. The biggest issue is the clearance down at the rocker and we were just able to get where we needed to be by mounting it upside-down and eliminating the lock nut for the ride height adjustment and substituting two grub screws and permanent Loctite. Attachment: As well, you might be able to get some more clearance for the FCRs by using one of Jako Motorsports' adjustable intake manifolds. I had to pick one up as my DB12 didn't have the correct rear manifold and although I have about 10 different varieties of Malossi manifolds in stock; none would put the 41mm Malossi in the right place.
