Well I borrow a couple of kokusan cdi boxes to eliminate them as possible couse, checked the carbs thoroughly and they have all channels an jets fully functioning. So its the last straw to make Spa on 2 wheels.
Cheers, Ron

Hello Ron
Did you ever solve the carb and/or electrical problem?
What was it?
Thanks, MikeV

Dear all, Yes the Santa Monica is alive and kicking, this weekend the spin Ducadini mentions is the Distinguished Gentlemens Ride in Amsterdam and yes you can sponser me http://www.gentlemansride.com/rider/ronverweijThe problem was the ignition, actually everything was working but it wasn't working togheter -SIGH- So I put every bit through the multimeter testing, tried different kokusans, walked through the complete wiring and although all seem to work they never worked togheter. With a mate we then put his Sachse ignition on the bike and then ..... Wowie what a great experience, the bike was alive and kicking and just a day for my birthday we did the shakedown in the north of the Netherlands around the TT Assen circuit and it nearly made me cry since it was there where my cousin and myself as litle boys followed the Ducati's racing and raced ourselves. The 17" wheels handle perfect and the 2 in 1 is loud And that is exactly what we are going to do in the heart of Amsterdam on Sunday, with over 100 bikes take the scenery city tour. Ha ha....

Dear all, The race against prostatecancer last Sunday as part of The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride was I guess the toughest race for such a bike but worth it any second. 200+ mopeds, cafe racers and other 2 wheeled rarity from Puch 2-stroke to Egli Vincents made it a great event. I revved a couple of times the bike just in the middle of the city but as part of such a melle the open exhoust hardly is hearable. Here is the parade with me around 2.00 minutes silently passing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwFQRE1pPTg Back riding home I bumped into my cousin who made a small film of me riding home https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTOszKT ... e=youtu.beThis was a once and never again for this bike, raised 317 Euro and a big fun but next year I'll take my Smallcase Single. Cheers, Ron
