Post subject:  gas tank leak...

My f1 has sprung a leak. There is a tiny pinhole on the bottom of my tank. Can this be soldered or does it have to be brazed ?

Yes, my tank is steel. I have since tried some marine epoxy and so far it is holding. I will braze if this fails.....

in Italy there is a product called TANKERITE, you'll definitely other good solutions, however, is a product based on epoxy paint.

I to regenerate inside my iron tanks use two-part epoxy paint that is used to paint the recipinti concrete to hold the wine, we are called vats.

The epoxy paint is diluted with ethyl alcohol, but it takes many days for his dry, I have found that when diluted with nitro thinner, dry much earlier and is equally resistant.

I hope that my translator has done a good job of translation.
