salut les amis,

easy to explain:

shock length with F1 steel tubular rear end: 300 mm
on my race bike, I've fitted a 750 sport verlicchi alloy rear end , using 5"x18" marvic ( and 3.5"x16" front) with 150/70 avon racing, but in this case, shock is too short, what is the good length?

I have an Ohlins set at about 12.75 inches on a Verlicchi F1 swingarm that seems good. Something around there with some adjustability should work. 13 inches might be better. Moving from the stock steel to the Sport aluminum take about 1 inch extra to begin with. Also, there is a post in here somewhere where Palmer and others discuss the needed angle (dangle) on the swingarm. MikeV
