Filippo, sometimes the best is to walk away from what you are doing and come back at a later day.
You will get it, it took me a few tries before I heard the beautiful music!

As a double check before to disassemble this engin in order to take the rotors and ghe pick.
This is s 350 ss or monster of the early 90'.
Do you know if the tread on the rotor/ cranck shaft is the the same of the Pantah's one?

I am not sure if i should have my attorney present. But i think so.

If not you can probably put the newer flywheel from that engine, with six holes in it, on the hub and sprag from your current engine, which has six threaded holes in it

Hi Paul
I removed the semi carter, the rotor and the shaft look the same I installed on the 513 ( caming from an Elefant 350). Now a new task: remove the bolte holding the rotor.
Is easy to be remove on a Pantah but on these monster/ ss probably they have same glue.
I try to heat and use ma impact tool but is very hard to release.
I was thinking to buy the proper tool from stain dinse.
https://www.stein-dinse.com/it/item-ite ... vEmTp.html
Any suggestion in how to remove de bolt on the rotor/generator?
Filippo

It may take more heat, I use a torch, sometimes there is a lot of thread locker, it can also seep under the rotor making it hard to get off.
I now use a 18 volt impact gun with a special setting for nuts or bolts that are hard to remove,
Good luck!!

Special tool, or impact gun/wrench. Those are the best choices.

You can also put a big punch in one of the holes in the cam timing gear, and slowly jam it in a recess in the case behind. Then you need a very long ratchet or bar for leverage to slowly and carefully turn the nut. Amateur stuff that ham-fisted mechanics sometimes do. Hard to do this with a loose engine - sitting on a cutting board.

But when done you will also have a flywheel lighter than your Pantah. Never knew one was marked 30 degrees.

Hi Huit definitely the impact gun solve the problem, just warm for a few minutes the nuts and in few hots the nuts went out.
MikeV, mine is not a cutting board but the cheapest custom engine stand ;)
Ss rotor is 1kg lighter than the stock.
Thank you all for replying and encouraging on this, these was Wery helpful for me.
