Yes, walking the dog has its benefits. Still not into road kill yet. MikeV

Well I hope to have the minimalist bodywork painted in a short while. And then this will be ready for the first track day this year. MikeV

Finally, the rain relented and I could paint this. Nothing really special here. But it is ready to go. MikeV

Those were left-overs from past bikes. The orange/red is 13 years old. Time to get rid of the cans. And to experiment a bit in prep for the “Spaggiari” Pantah to follow soon. MikeV

Took it to two track days, and it worked. No problems at all. Short list of things to do, like find some fatter hand grips, enriching the H carb, look at the fork oil weight and/or quantity, try some different brake pads, and somehow minimize the side stand - it just "bugs" me being below my left foot. It did not transform me into a WSB candidate. MikeV

PS: At a later track day, and after pushing a bit harder, i came to the conclusion that it had too much braking capability for the (probably) low weight. The combo of Brembo cast iron race discs, race pads, and Spiegler calipers made it hard to be smooth. The front brake M/C is a stock 16mm 996 part. There are a lot of light bikes with only one disc up front, and now i understand why. Went to stock SS street discs, medium Brembo pads, and some good CNC’d Brembo calipers and it is a bit less dramatic now. I wish i could brake like a World Superbike champion, but no…
