Great photos Boucher! 'Some seriously nice components on that Alchemy! However, nothing can hold a candle to a Britten - what a fabulous, ingenious and incredibly beautiful bike. |

Hello Boucher Thanks for the pictures I am not shure if it is a SV or an RV version The seat and the battery plate is SV The holder for the main stand is not on the frame, normal RV The V tubes to fix the exhaust mufflers are welded later. And the Britten i see one in Germany racetrack Oschersleben driven by Lex van Dyk The greatest bike ever build Regards Uwe |

Very interesting photos, thanks Boucher. That Alchemy is quite the piece of work. A lot to study there. How did it sound with the "can" mufflers? Bill |

Hi Bill, The time I was there (most of Saturday) I did hear it start or move!! Maybe Glyn heard it as he was pitted right next to it. Boucher. |

The boys were busy with a misfire on the Alchemy all weekend. It seemed to clear above 3,000rpm or so maybe it was a Bosch amplifier. It went out for a parade but never saw it race. |

The Britten is close to scratch built bike with a design and use of carbon fibre for major components that even now would be considered innovative and cutting edge. Ducati is just getting there using Carbon in this way on the Panigale. Alchemy was more of a quest to turn lead into gold.

Not Ducati, but an insight into the Britten and how it was made. Then unmade " kaboom" Boucher.
