Post subject:  Spacer

Hello...
I am installing a new set of straight cut primary gears into a 600TL engine. What I need to know is the thickness of the spacer that goes onto the main shaft before the pressure plate. All of the parts manuals give the size for the one that goes on before the basket and gear, (5mm) but no reference to the one in question.
Regards....

Please for the 5mm spacer you mean the n°28 on the above link?
and which is the number of the spacer you are asking for?
ciao
Filippo

Hi Filippo....
Sorry, I should have posted this picture earlier, but the manual is in pdf and won't allow page extraction. I had to photograph it off my laptop. The only parts manual I've found to show this diagram is the 350/650 Elefant. The Alazzurra manual is a little misleading. I'm installing the steel basket, later clutch. The spacer in question is #30.
Thank you for the reply....

P.S.
How are things in beautiful Italy?

A bit pressed for time right now, but it is the same washer that goes with #29, found between the two bearings in the basket hub. About 2.0mm thick. As long as the bottom pressure plate clears the basket (I have seen them shoved right to the metal there, and then the plate can't spin) you will be OK. MikeV

CORRECTION. Meant it is the washer in the #31 on the schematic. About 1.5 to 2.0mm thick, with correct ID. It is in all the primary gears. MikeV

Hi Flattop
I checked on a spare Alazzurra 350 clutch I have, but the shaver you need is missing on that clutch. I'm sorry.
I will find it when I will looking for other engine related stuff.
In Italy is still hot weather, good for the beach!
Ciao
