Just to get someone riled up. That what I am going to call this one: A mid-90s M900 frame and aluminum swingarm, an early 851 aluminum race tank, and a bunch of old stuff laying around for all the rest. Yep, the carbs will fit. And a lot of room under the tank for coils and other electronic stuff. Will not be using this engine --- it is for the Spaggiari Pantah. MikeV

Nice fun project Mike!
Great to find a home for your stash or parts.

Virtually, a no restriction, make it up as you go, build. I like it already! Should be interesting to see how you mix and match the different parts.

As it stands now. With an 800cc SS engine. A lot of things not final, but working out well. MikeV

A black box on one of your builds. Thats got to be a first. With the carbs installed, will it only be dealing with the ignition?

Well, you did not call it a pig this time, but you came close Carlo. It is kinda fun to just “wing it” on this one. Even relaxing. Every day something gets done and it is usually satisfying.

It will have nothing special in the way of electronics on it flattop, just some brand of coils and Kokusan ignition will go up front under the tank. The stuff at the back is the basic needs, and will be easy to get to. Not sure what you saw.

The only thing special about the engine is 900SS cams, 40mm carbs, a light aluminum flywheel, and installation of the Kokusan pickups. But these have six-speed trans and slipper clutches stock. This engine was stuck in the TT900SS in 2013 for the Jimmy Adamo gathering, and I was shocked at how quick it was like that. I have some high compression pistons and 900ie cams, but will leave it as-is for now. It will have good forks, wheels, rotors and calipers, and with the Monster frame, Ohlins shock, and aluminum swingarm suspension may be its best feature.

Still have not decided on the fairing. The tank is 851 aluminum and the seat an early-80s YTZ (not wild about the hump where I sit, so may cut it out — the hole might be useful should I try some late braking). But i may take this to the track looking like a junk yard dog, and if things work out then paint it at the end of the year.

Upon further inspection I see that it is in fact the battery. Used to seeing the ECU in that location.
