Hi Hall i have one 280mm rotor from a Laverda rear brake. i have in mind to install it on an Alazzurra, the disk has the same offset and holes. is then compatible. In replacing the stock 260 mm twin disk with a single 280 mm i'm sure to reduce the weight on the front wheel. but will the be henough to stop an Alazzurra? someone already made this attempt? Or have you any suggestions? Thank you in advance Filippo

I can’t really see it being a problem with the right master cylinder. Worth a try, good luck ‘ Paul

Ducati 1974 single Desmo has one 08 caliper and the master cylinder is too big. Feels like wood. I think it is 16mm ? Or 5/8 inch I sleeved mine to 13mm. Better but still not the best. I would like to try smaller.

Doesn't the Vintage Brake website have a chart for master/caliper size? Lou

Thank you all for the replies and suggestions. Graeme your is a very interesting link. I will keep it in mind when working on brakes.
On side on my Alazzurra, I'm back on stock 13mm master cylinder pump, organic brake pads . But the braking feeling I still "wooden" The master cylinder need to be replaced because is very old. Maybe is for the above i receive a wooden feeling.
