I’ve recently obtained a new Ducati. The frame is reportedly to be a GPM frame. Does anyone recognize this frame and who was the manufacturer? Many thanks!

Not a GPM. Looks like an NCR version for a Pantah TT2 racer. Others have also reproduced them over the years. Nice looking assembly there. MikeV
Please. Please. Take that passenger peg off the back! Even if your girlfriend weighs only 90 libs it is not adequate, and not appropriate for this bike.

Ha! That looks like a DM Frame. That is my buddy Neville's old bike! Where are you located. He nickel plated the frame, the swingarm is notched to clear the frame. I know most of the history of that bike. Those Marvics came from a pile of Jimmy Adamo parts. That swingarm was mine originally. The guy who built it is an incredible mechanic! You have a good one there. I'll try and dig up some pictures. The old owner and I were just talking about it last night. Lou

And yes, passenger pegs will be removed. I plan to use as track only.

I have confirmation from GPM in Italy that this is not a GPM frame. Looks likely that is a DM frame. Any info on this machine is appreciated. Many thanks, Don

Hi Lou,
Yes that frame has some hallmark signs of mine for sure. I’m certain now that mines a DM. Now on to bodywork. Looking for period correct one piece tank seat combo for this frame. The original wasn’t nice and it gas decayed over the years.
Thanks, Don

Well Don, maybe you've come to the right place! Our buddy Paul in Canada did make a mold for the one piece tank and tail, but if I recall, the one you have has a two up seat cover if I'm not mistaken? Do you have pictures? I also remember my buddy modified the rear a bit. So maybe we can figure someway of helping you get her back to her former glory. Shipping will be the problem where ever you find it. Lou
