Well, it is complete except for the sad fact that I have no spark to the vertical cylinder. I am out of energy (mental and physical), and now out of time. It is loaded in the van to head off to the track this afternoon---only 2,750 miles and four days. See you there. MikeV

Thanks so much for your kind comments. All went well on the trip. It was great to see so many good examples of TTs and F1s. And to meet so many owners; some of which I, sadly, missed during the confusion; there was a lot to see at Barber. The bike was accepted well, even with its flaws, and I was honored with the display. But I will not be touching it for a month or so; need the break. MikeV

Hi Mike,
Sorry I was unable to attend and finally meet you after all our phone conversations. The bike looks spectactular and is nothing less than I would expect of you. I'll give you a call next week after you have rested up. Sure hope Duckfest happens next year so we can finally meet in person.

Hi Mike,

Well the bike looked terrific, a testament to your skill. It was really a truly magnificent replica. The colour of the paint was, from what I can remember of the original perfect. The tank and seat were so true to the original No 8. it was a wonderful tribute to the original No 8, the bike that started the "TT" revolution.

I am trying to get from MCN a copy of the original stories that you saw at Ducstock, as soon as I have them I will send them to you. Please put your postal address on a PM, or my email at elainepatslinn@tiscali.co.uk.

Thank you and regards,

Pat.

Hello everyone, I have seen the magnificent restoration of this bike.

I saw all your beautiful restorations.

I could not devote the necessary time.

I had to do the tests for the race.

The bike of my friend, had many problems, I had to work to do to become the bike of my dear friend, much more secure.

The bikes that have showcased are fantastic.

Each motorcycle, every restoration, needs to be lived, and to be considered.

Under the tents, there are many, many hours of work, and those who work with passion, have all my respect.

I apologize if I could not speak, because of my ignorance of not speaking English.

I hope that this thing is understood by you.

I am very honored to have known the sign. Pat Slinn, I saw in him the enthusiasm of a young man when he speaks about motorcycling.

The technicians who worked at that time, they did it with heart and passion.
Fortunately, there are still some places, like the barber, where we, even now, breathe real passion for motorcycles.

Con Amicizia Carlo Leoncini.
