Relief, that's a word used a lot on this build. From finally buying and collecting to oil relief valve. It was a journey to say the least, looking at old magazine articles to find how the oil passages were bypassed/blocked , sourcing a ignition, crank rods and Pistons. It has probably been the most testing yet fruitful project I've done yet. I've met the creator pete smith and have talked regularly to him about it, Shaun Sutcliffe who was riding it the day in 1985 when it blew at Oran park. " It was going really well then it made a noise and stopped" And Ian gowanloch who rescued me with a few no longer available bits, and Wes my crank man. Thanks for following the build folks.... boucher

Beautiful build! Curious about the chassis. What are those rims and what sizes? What tires? Tubes? What are the shocks, and are they the same ones that came on it? Is there is a catch bottle at the unseen end of the breather hose? Any plans for track riding it?

Hi , the frame is standard 500 Desmo sport, 16" front-18" rear ,tyres Michelin 30plus years old and of wooden construction, catch bottle is actually the bracing for swingarm,and shocks are koni's. Boucher.

Hi brad, was there all day Saturday. Could only do that day not enough hours in the day to travel there and back. 18hrs one way dodging skippy. Then back to work. Boucher.

seems like saturday was the day. i went saturday last year, was a great turn out. sunday was a bit of a ghost town this year.

and guess who else was there and for those who thought she was a non running show bike well here she is on the track a Broardford and what a great weekend it was and to those who made the effort to attend thumbs up and I look forward to next year!!!!
oh and great to see Smithos old paralized twin racer out at the track sorry I didn't catch up with you but well done on the resto and has Smitho seen it?
