Congrats Boucher. Possibly the most challenging restoration posted on the site. MikeV |

Well deserved!!!!!! I wasn't on the list earlier when you were building. I will have to check out that anti dive gizmo on the front, that looks interesting. Clay |

Better late than never. I collected this AMCN magazine article on the epicycle of my good mate jungle. It was written at the time the engine was being built. Could have used it a few years ago........ Boucher.

That's like finding the 10 commandments in your shed! You really could of used that a few years ago! Still my favorite restoration on the Forum. Lou |

Yes Lou it would have been very handy for researching the built. You can see he welded up around left hand case to strengthen it. I made and alloy plate with a c3 bearing to spread the load. Though I think the the revs were a bit optimistic,14,000 as a 500 and 11,000 as a 720. That single row cam chain would be a bit stretched. I’ve seen 8,500 on mine and it sounded like it would grenade at any moment. Boucher. |

Just to finish off the epicycle, I know Lou ran some pics for me. Phil ansyley arrived one day and we turned the carport into a out door type studio. I think he was here for about 5 hours , moving things and different lights and reflectors. It’s a art form. A real nice guy with plenty of rare motorcycle stories. He’s photographed it. Check out his site. Boucher.
