I've long thought AMA expert mile dirt track is at the pinnacle of motorcycle racing. The Sacramento Mile runs Saturday evening and the whole show can be watched live online for free. Last weekend the Springfield Mile was web cast live and I thought the coverage was rather good. Troy Bayliss on a Ducati will again be trying to make the main event. I think he was in the last chance qualifier at Springfield, pretty good for his (and the bikes) first mile. Practice starts about 2 p.m. and the main is scheduled for about 9:15 p.m. California time. Miles are always a good show. Bill http://www.fanschoice.tv/schedule |

Troy Bayliss hurt in crash- From Cycle News: "Former World Superbike Champion crashed in his Semi in turn three and ended up hitting the protective air fence lining the wall on the outside of the turn. He was transported to the hospital with a possible broken right leg, according to his team." From MC News: http://www.mcnews.com.au/troy-bayliss-injured-at-sacramento-mile/ |

Been to the races there, since we lived in Sac'to for over 30 years. They also race horses on the track. Good thing for Troy that they don't shoot riders when they break a leg. MikeV |
