Hi, is there a way to turn a bevel roller crank into a conventional type bearing. Has anyone had experience in this or have they have heard of anyone doing so. I've read caferacer in Melbourne did it years ago and then their is the Kevin braken article we have all read. Thanks for any info. Boucher.

Damian from Bevelrubber is building new engines with plain bearing crankshafts .

you have to revise the oiling system to and fit a oilpump that delivers more pressure .

All of it is pretty spendy and labor intensive, better to find a Mille under a rock somewhere.

I've seen 749 cranks that were modified for bevel cases.
Of course there are A LOT of other modifications to get that engine running ;)
Kent's Blue Lunatic anyone ?

ciao

Kent uses a 748 crankshaft with 61.5 mm stroke and 88 mille barrels .
he uses 152.5 mm long rods so no shortening of barrels or bevelshaft is needed .

this is for the 750 cc engine . dont know what other configurations he uses for his larger engines .
