Hello Chris. Crazy stuff from down under, as usual. Did the cylinder bolts line up same as the modern 800 heads? Are those cams end caps custom, or what? Your humble servant, MikeV

Hi mike, yep stud pattern the same from pantah to bevel. Just the oil feed up through from cylinder to head doesn’t line up. Also the drains coming back down. The end caps are of the donor 800ss heads. I just machined them to look trick. The extension in the centre is the oil feed to the cams/rockers. It has a spacer for the snout that’s on the bevel cams. The cams are V2-03-059. That’s inlet open 33 btdc, closes 60abdc. Exhaust opens 61bbdc and closes 27atdc. 13.1mm lift inlet and 11.4mm lift exhaust. It will have a 1mm oil feed restricted to the camshafts. Hope that answers a few questions. Boucher.

Saturday arvo playing cam timing on the old bevel donk. It’s marvellous what a shorter stroke and longer con rods do to the original timing dots. Got to get valve/piston clearances right before dismantling for balancing. Boucher.

Lou, I’m alive. I’ve been to the dark side and I’ll be here for awhile. Than back onto the bevel. My latest project that’s testing me to say the least. There’s a million photos and a million stories between these two pictures. Boucher.

Welcome back Chris. Someone needs to build an F1 race replica to go up against that thing! Beautiful works so far. MikeV
