Hi guys
Thought you might be interested in an update.
Slowly, very slowly it's taking shape. I was worried about the offset of the forks and triple clamps & resulting trail thinking it might be horrendous and need some corrective surgery, but with the 17" front wheel the trail has calculated out to about 97mm which is right in the ballpark for what I was looking for as an outcome.
So I'm much happier knowing it will actually steer and I'm now looking forward to the wheel going in, the 748R 4 piston - 4 pad calipers being mounted and then moving on to the swingarm etc.
Then just a few little details to finish it like get a tank, get everything painted, get the motor assembled...
Ian Gowanloch is doing the motor presently and it's getting a trick big end unit that has a titanium cage for the roller bearings so it should handle revs for a long time to come. Many miles of happy motoring
