Got notice a few days ago that the rebored /replated cylinders and the pistons were done and coming back. So I should be able to finish the engine assembly next week. Here are few shots of the insides. Attachment:

Will be a 916cc, with 94mm x 66mm bore and stroke. Pistons and Pankl titanium rods are from Feracci. The crank is a NOS 916 corsa part, and could not be lightened more than it was already. Transmission is NOS close ratio race set; from 2.0 to 1.0 over six gears. Primary gears and oil pump are stock used parts from around 2008 or so; small primary is splined fit rather than taper. Left side did not need much done, and there will be no flywheel. Late 900cc case has been trimmed here and there, and the part around the oil filter cut away. The bottoms of the cylinders were milled by .040" and a same amount was ground away from a portion of the bottom of the barrel, because of the 2mm (1mm each way) reduced stroke; I checked before I sent the barrels and pistons off, using some 92mm pistons, for clearance and future "squish". I want to get more RPMs out of this large engine, not more torque (like a 944cc), thus trying to make it a bit "over-square". Later, MikeV

I preferred to use an original 71.5 stroke crankshaft and I did not want to lighten the shaft, on the contrary I used the 996 crankcase to be able to mount kokusan pikup and put the carburetors, so I used an aluminum rotor, more its steel rotor, lightened where the free wheel is. Your engine block will be really difficult to drive, I can assure you that you can easily remove the front wheel and leave it in the van, as it will never stay on the ground.

Then I will, finally, pull a wheelie! Hope the photographer catches that.
I just need to experience what you, Carlo, already have done, to enjoy this.

The bored (to 94mm) and nikasil re-plated cylinders came back from Millennium and they were perfect. They even marked them as sets. Now installed. P (Montjuich) cams dialed in at 104 degrees. DYNA ignition installed and set for 30 degrees BTDC. Attachment:

A few more before we leave the engine behind: 42.5mm Malossi carbs. Exterior oil drain lines from rocker areas of heads to engine case. Oil to camshaft end caps using ST3 exterior oil line from DP magnesium side cover. Alternator side cover and valve covers from Super Pantah in Italy, one of Carlo's friends. Cam end caps from ORSP.
