MikeV Hi Lou, Worklorenz and MikeV thank for yuor comments. yes i , well we , have been busy, we are a team moved by the same dreams. but this is the same with the forum members encouraging and motivating me. and sure moved by the same passion or obsession (lovely obsession). so wile me went to do the first dry and rough built of the frsme/wheel on the engine side we made further progress working on head shape and porting, those are Carlo's intake manifold. carbs will be dellorto 40mm Filippo

Hi All managed to finish porting and shaping the head, copyng the monster 695 head. Digging the intake ducts we found the oil piping. fixed with an alluminum pin we are now in the need to find Pistons for this engine, we need to have a compression ratio around 11,50 12,00 do you know at wich workshop i may ask for the above pistons. Should be similar to the original 685 pistons, but the original get 10,5 compression ratio if i'm not wrong. Thank you in advance Filippo

What crankshaft are you using, it will help to know what pistons? Project coming along nicely!

Ciao Filippo, la raccordatura dei collettori mi sembra ottima, i pistoni alla CPS li replicano su disegno, però te ne danno 4, io li ho fatti fare per molte mie moto, e sono rimasto sempre molto soddisfatto, la moto sta crescendo bene, anche se tutto è provvisorio abbassa la forcella e mettila a 70, 71 cm dal sopra del cristo superiore al centro perno asse anteriore. Per quanto riguarda il rapporto di compressione io non ho mai superato gli 11,5, perchè Rino caracchi mi diceva che oltre quella soglia la moto scalda molto e non sale di giri, io ho sempre dato ascolto a questo consiglio, diciamo che quando facevo le gare endurance era buono stare a 10,8 11,00 , la gara sprint di 12 giri è veloce, ma dodici di compressione sono tanti per quello che io so. Comunque io vedo che chi ti segue nei lavori è molto molto capace, e tu fai quello che loro ti consigliano. Adessi tu fai la traduzione perchè io non ho voglia di scrivere! Ciao Filippo
