Hey it's almost Christmas, but I think and hope these will arrive in January. Been waiting a long time but Mirko at Zanzani is such a nice guy, I don't mind. Mine are the unfinished ones on the bench. Alloy rotors for an alloy bike! Lou

Those are definitely fabulous, I'd be frightened to use them :D :D
I couldn't find any info on them so went searching for old dealers : no luck.
I've got a Zanzani rear fixed on my Tecnomagnesio wheel of my Mag1 but was still looking for a disc up front.
The one Zanzani I have has a chip of the coating missing and none seems to know how to fix it (or replace it).
Still I haven't found any of the Brembo coated aluminium discs, just the brochure.
Is Mirko clearing stock or are they produced on order ?

On that note, but bevel-related : I read someplace/sometime in a magazine of the 70's that the discs mounted on Smart's 1972 bike were Hunt plasmasprayed discs. Anyone has got info on that ?

ciao
ducadini

Hi Ducadini, yes made to order. They show drawings of them on their website. Organic pads for sure! Lou

Going through a stack of magazines, found in my storage, in Due Ruote (mostly pictures, not much tech info).
A small add about the Combi2000, a rebuildable wheel made by Oscam ( I know I have an advert someplace with details, location etc).
Never quite got the title of this topic, Alcoa is/was made aluminium products (don't recall a foundary) in Belgium 90s-00s.

Stil going through boxes of old magazines (30 to go) I found an inventory of Italian factories.
Oscam was still active in 1991, but a search at google streetview just gave a empty building near Ferrara.
in the same inventory was an ad of Marvic, showing some of their products.

ciao

Took over a year, but I am happy. Lighter weight than usual Zanzanni rotors. Mirko is a master. Maybe this will jump start the alloy bike. I have been working on other stuff. Just finishing the 'race bike for friends' pantah. Lou
