Thanks Brad. 300mm Mike. Carlo, yes they are close to the rim but you can just slip on the 4 piston caliper. Lou

Is really is looking quite nice Lou. But I am worried about the gold and yellow things. Is that clutch lever a vintage part — one of the special long ones?

Thanks Mike, I get the questioning of the gold stuff. I am back and forth on it. Part of it is, I like the contrast, the other part is being lazy as I have to disassemble the shock to strip the finish and paint the spring. Fork seal retainers, on the other side the Ohlins damper has a gold knob. It never ends. I have a picture I'll try to post of when I started with the raw swingarm adjusters. Good eye Mike, that is a Verlicchi clutch perch without the mirror boss cast in. Yes they had that long lever, but the one with the mirror boss can also have that long lever. Some early TT2's had the mirror one. I like the one you see on the aluminum bike. They are hard to come by. There are a few on ebay with the mirror boss. One being sold as a Norton clutch lever, pretty inexpensive, but you still have to find the lever. Not easy and not cheap.

Lou, I really have to thank you for these photos. Ever since I decided to “street” the TT900SS better/firmer mounting of the tank has bugged me; wanted to add the two rubber straps to the tank like the TTs, but the frame did not come with the pegs welded to it, and I did not add them before painting. Did not want to retro-weld them on. Now I see you might have used cap head. (Allen) screws under the fairing bracket tabs, and put the small straps on them. Brilliant, and simple! Why did I not think of that? MikeV

Carlo, si sono vicini al cerchio ma puoi semplicemente infilare la pinza a 4 pistoncini. Lou. Perfect!|!! ;)

Hi folks, so the Zanzanni rotors are aluminum, and they are wider than cast iron. A bit over 7.5mm. The calipers need to be modified for clearance. No, nothing is easy. So here are a few pictures of the inside of the caliper before and after I filed away the raised bosses on the inside of the caliper. An upper and lower, two on each half. The 'poor mans' milling machine, a carefully used file and straight edge. I will also take the organic pads down a bit. That's one, I'll do the second one tomorrow. Lou

Amazing how many parts end up being “custom” to each bike. That is a tight squeeze! MikeV

You are so right Mike. Other side done. Just need to shave the pads down. On another note, yes Mike I have to come up with a nicer way to hold the front tank straps, but the idea works. I think I'm going to use a cross bar to hold the fairing ends like an F1 so those bolts, or whatever I come up with will only be for the tank straps. It's a custom bike so I figure I can mess around a bit. I also put on Carlo's petcock on the tank today. Had to ream the hole a little so the filter went in nicely. Fit's great as all Carlo's stuff does. I have tons of stuff to do so what you see isn't the finished product. Work in progress. Lou
