Here is my F1, the exact opposite of some of the beautiful ground up builds you guyz do. I left this bike as I found it except for maintnenace items to resurrect from 27years of sitting, clean and touch it up, decaled it up a bit so it looks more like a stock F1, not so race bike looking.......well at least no numbers are on it. I want to ride this on the street a little bit. Now just some shake down stuff to do. AND, THANX for the forum advice and info along the way.

Clay

Can't help liking something with Circle Bell stickers on it. Have lots of fun with it.

That's a beauty Cal! Ride to the track, race it, then ride home! Don't forget the safety wire. Lou

Wow, that has some REALLY nice kit on it!

Who raced it back in the day?

What is that beneath the swingarm pivot? Battery tray?

You may have some problems getting a roadworthy with that headlamp!

Oh, and what carbs does it have on it?

Great bike!

The carbs are Mik 41 flatslides.

Somebody asked about who raced it. The guyz last name was Mansfield. I think this is an amateur guy with no known history. It looks to me like he built it ran it a couple of times and it was parked within a race season. I think it took him/them a whole season to build and track day test it based upon some logged records. He crashed it once, rebuilt it and then I dont think it was ran again..... One of the last receipts that I have shows that he bought a new 851. I am guessing he hung up the leathers and decide to play/sport ride on the street.

ooppsss...forgot to add...yes.....battery is underneath/behind motor
