Finally completed. Only thing left off is mirrors and/or bar ends; undecided. I think it does resemble something from the 1970s well. More to follow. MikeV

Modern day 'Z' stripe! Looks great Mike. Is she comfortable to ride? Lou

You would catch that Lou. Yes, it is a tribute to the Spagiarri bevel racer, with reference to the early Z-tank 750 Sport. That is why the black side covers (and eventually rocker covers). And, this particular curved stripe meant I did not have to match up, perfectly, a horizontal stripe at the bottom of the tank to one meeting the bottom of the tail section!

This is the first day of no rain for over a week. So, no road test yet. But, yes, I have found the rider's position to be very nice. I got 18.5+ inches from top of the pegs to top of the seat - compared to 14.5 for an F1 and a TT! I have had time to improve the carburation, and all systems seem to be a go. We will see.

Looks good Mike. I do like where you located the front turn signals. Discrete and less wiring in and around the steering head. You never did mention what engine is powering this beauty.

Thanks flattop. I guess i forgot about the engine because my bigger concern on this one was what it should look like, and how the parts should fit. And the new-for-me full wiring.

The engine is not a "performance" one; i just want it to run well: Only 583cc (80x58mm); NOS vintage 36mm carbs; manifolds mated to intakes opened up to about 30mm; very small valve (now 36 and 31mm) F3 400 heads; F1 cams only because i had them; new set of modern 80mm dished pistons and cylinders; stock crank, rods, and gears; modern straight-cut primary gears for the wet clutch; modern oil pump; light 600 flywheel; and Kokusan ignition. It does have a perfect 149 PSI compression on a warm engine. And seems ready to go.

Oh, and the exhaust is a "baby" Verlicchi - for a 500. Was supposedly for racing. Just like the big and loud ones for the F1 but smaller collector and muffler entry and exit. Not unpleasant in this case.

Very pretty Mike! Looks like it will be a blast to ride. The yellow paint looks like it’s hooked to the battery!
