Thanks to all for your comments, and compliments. Glad you are still out there. A few replies:
The tail sections seems to elicit a few thoughts. Yes, it is big and long, but similar to the one on Paul's Pantah project, and a design of the era. You really have to swing a leg to mount the horse. That is part of the reason I painted the back one inch and the top of the tail with this beautiful Kona Coffee (I call it that) brown/maroon, to minimize the visual size some. And I think it works.
It is amazing how un-symmetrical these aluminum (tank) and fiberglass (tail) parts are, and how they can drive you crazy trying to align them. At time you will think the frame is bent! But you have to accept it. I had one version of the tail a while back that looked like a banana from the top, and I eventually used it for filler parts.
F1 cams are not really special, and not high performance. They are "street" cams, of medium duration and lift, and only good for about 8,000 RPM before they say, "sayonara" - we are out of breath. But I kinda knew they would fit the small combustion chamber of the F3 heads; they are "bolt ons". And 8,000 will be good enough in this case. So...
