Hey, Gary..
Vicki hasn't done a full-blown, detailed announcement yet, but the Barber extravaganza is now the National Ducati Rally.. Oct 7/8/9, 2011 (Track day is now on the following MONDAY).
From Vicki's post on the Big List: "This is the link to book the Hampton Inn, Colonnade in Birmingham, AL that will be the main Ducati Owners hotel for the Ducati.net national Ducati rally at Barbers Vintage 2011. I am sure it will book really fast, like, in days if that long, so if you plan to stay there, please book immediately. There will be a special Ducati camping area as well, within the track, which will accommodate tents, trailers and motor homes, and will be in a premium area, not part of general camping. Information on how to book that area is not available yet.
All rooms are $99 plus tax, we have 100% of the rooms so its the Ducati Dorm. Those that stayed at the main Indy DOC hotel can vouch for the special camaraderie this creates. There will be special Ducati parking at the entrance, space for trailers in the back, lots of restaurants within walking and the road out of the hotel is a lovely, tree covered ride down a pretty 2 lane road that goes straight to the Barbers gate (12 miles or so, about 15 minutes ride) The hotel is at the freeway entrance if that is your preference. A shuttle to shopping and the airport will be available as well.
Event dates: Track day is expected to be on Oct. 10th, event dates are Oct 7/8/9, 2011"

WTF?? Has Vicki got the Barber dates wrong? She is saying on http://ducati.net the track day is Monday. I know a whole lot of us have room reservations for Wed. night thru Sun. morning, going on that the track day is Thursday. It's probably too late to change them now, I heard it filled up fast. Bill

Yeah, Bill - She changed the track day date to Monday last month I think.. I'll modify that old announcement post, but I suspect that getting a room for Monday shouldn't be an issue (hope not - I've gotta change mine too).

Just in - the official press release for Ducstock! The TT / F1 Forum will have a 20 x 30 hospitality tent right up by the main NCR stage and this will be a spot for all of us to get together and finally put some faces to names. We'll also have about a dozen racers in the area and a message board so we have an opportunity to find one another. In addition, Palmer, Robbins and I decided that racing in AHRMA's BOTT F3 class would eb a great way to get some track time and make a little noise and it would seem like Bill (Pantahgood) will be fielding a rider. I've heard rumors that put it in the neighborhood of over a dozen TTs and F1s that will be going out to race - hopefully more. Registration opened this week at https://events.cuetoems.com/bvf/OnlineTicketSales.aspx?ducati=1. Let's have a roll call to see who's coming, who's racing and who's bringing bikes..

Yes Sir! Robbie will be riding "Mr. Dude" in BOT3. We're going to VIR for a shake down. I'm sure Bruce will be riding his too, and Mike Dubie (if Bruce gets it done). Now, since Vicky seems to have taken over this TT 30th anniversary celebration and turned it into Ducstock, and we all know there will be a race within a race in BOT3, do you think someone could get her to put up a set of special trophies for the 1st, 2nd , & 3rd highest placing Pantahs averaged over Saturdays & Sundays BOT3 rounds? The bragging rights for the next century should be enough, but a trophy for something like that would be nice icing on the cake. Bill

Bill Bill - I though we were just going out to fool around and get some track time... Seriously, think that's a brilliant idea. I'm gonna poke around for some sponsorship and then approach Vicki.

Hi Steve, Bill, Lou and everybody,
Mike Weber and I are planning to bring our bikes. My F1 is 100% done and his TT is partly done. We have both entered the track day on Monday. I would sure like to enter the race, too, but it depends on my health situation. I have not ridden on a track yet this year but it is certainly a goal of mine. Anyway we can't wait to see you guys and your machines.

Ok, step 1 is done - register for the Track Day. Now all I need is a pass from the wife and kids, a way to get down there, a place to stay, some more vacation time from work...and oh ya, a running bike!
