The reason why the rear tyre is glazed on its right hand extremity is due to the rollers at Nogaro last year. Those Dunlops (made in England) are really very good. Tyre technology is incredible, and has changed a lot since Malcolm Uphill lapped the TT course at over 100 m.p.h. on a production Bonneville back in '69 .
One year, Tom Heron had the rear breaking up at the NW200 and could feel the bits hitting under the seat. He was quoted as saying ,
'It's a good job Dunlop don't make preservatives '

I also have one of these frames with an F1 engine, can Jim tell me what the frame number is?

Any other info on the history of manufacture of these frames?
