Hey Sam, where are you up to with your build? Haven't heard for a while. Graeme

Good morning Graham, Spent some time up the north of Scotland with the kids before they returned to schooI, have been doing some dry stane dyking to get things tidied up around the garden and also building a garage to house my toys.
I was getting a bit frustrated clambering over and around things when trying to work. I have a heavy jig table that my auto crosser (buggie)sits on and wanted to use that to put the bike on and rectify the movement that occurred on the steering head after welding. I did have doubts that the jig that I used would be sturdy enough, I will have the doors finished today and lockable so can move the kids and my buggies out along with the classic racing sidecar push bikes and lawn mower, can you see what I am getting at  . Also had a few enquiery's about micro breweries the last couple of weeks so had to spend some time with the clients and find out exactly what they want built.I hate when work gets in the way of hobbies. ;)

Very nice.

Dont know the exact date of that particular Archway but the first was built in the very early 1700's the Earl of Spottiswood commissioned them, there were five in total all at the entrances to Spottiswood estate now only two are in existence . They were altered at a later date by the Duke of Beccleuch who had plaque's built into them with a poem carved on each plaque which had been penned by his wife, the one on that particular archway was supposedly about time but is now far too weathered to read. Nice feature for the bottom of the garden tho! :)

Hi folks been a long time, is everyone still living? Finally bit the bullet and started a new chassis it was going to be too much cutting and fiddling about to sort out the steering head so made a new sturdier jig and started on the chassis this weekend.

Hello, you're doing a great job, I have difficulty in saying that you must pay attention to certain things that I'm about to tell you.

I see that your job is to weld metals, I just wanted to say to you that when you will pay the balance in the tlaio part of the headstock and maybe he will pull it will lift the engine block, changing the degree of inclination of the headstock.

I saw that when I replicated the replica frame moretti, moretti the frame builder is very scrupulous in making very important points in the rigid template of the frame.

I would make a further reinforcement support where else is the steering tube, in order to avoid that it rotates at the bottom.

Mine is only a point of view.

The weld has an incredible power if the iron parts of the frame are perfectly matched.

With humility and friendship. Carlo Leoncini.
