Hi Clinton, I know with the TT's it is individual spade connectors. The original female spade connectors had a black plastic sheathing that have 'Italy' written on them, and no, I don't know where to get them! What I do is buy old pantah electrical harnesses and remove the sheathings, clean them and put them over the new spade connectors that I get from Wurth, a hardware supplier. It really looks good and NOS. Hope this helps. Lou

Can someone tell me where the original mounting point for the earth connector is on the electrical panel? I'm referring to the black double wire / single eyelet that comes from the ignition module harness.

Just for information, these are still being produced by Bosch under that same part number.

This earth lead mounts under the fixing bolt for the regulator on the plate that the coils are also fixed to.
I took this photo during disassembly so I could remember details like this.

Hi all....thought I would reiterate something Carlo mentioned a couple of pages back.

When it comes to F1A and B models...there can be little inconsistencies. They're Italian after all.

My F1B was purchased by me in April or May of '87. It had actually been built in '86, and was probably built towards the end of the '86 build. VIN # ZDM3AA3L5GB75177X The "G" in the tenth slot indicates an '86.

However...When the girl at the Cagiva North America office in California typed up the MSO, she typed in "1987" for the year. Made it a bear to get it through the State BMV later. Many photos, etc...I ran a Dealer Tag for 3 months. Cagiva were so slow mailing out the MSO that after 3 weeks, we called up and griped to them and they mailed another one. I got 2 within the next week!

They even typed "For Racing Purposes Only" on the MSO, but I , uh, modified it to go through proper channels.

My bike came with a sidestand instead of a centerstand, and with a 2 piece Montjuich front fender instead of the slotted fender. I suppose they just grabbed what was laying around at the end of the "B" production run to clean up.

(Oh, and my "B" went through 2 or 3 rectifiers in the first 3 years! One poured smoke in my face at the end of the uphill straight at Mosport in '88!)

Thanks Bill, I was thinking it was one of the mounting bolts - the new regulator actually has an earth symbol cast into it, but it's on the opposite side to yours.

The LH switches for the lights are very close to the ones used on early GT Suzuki's. Part numbers for the actual switch buttons:

Yes DJ they are pretty close, but you can still buy the original Bosch units. It's just a matter of finding someone who will ship to Oz. I ended up finding mine on e-bay.
