I guess that was you Steve?
Glad you sorted your bike out before the big event,
I hope someone takes some pictures for us mortals.
I believe Phil from Road and Race will be there too.

I'll ask the rocker question in the appropriate place.

See? Proof once again that misery loves company..

I do feel better now Graeme; the bike now starts a millisecond before you hit the button and settles into a nice, lumpy idle. Throttle response is perfect as is the once elusive return to idle.

But - what's up with your rockers?

I'm having a hard time visualizing loading this on a trailer in a few days... Pickups are being re-soldered today! Did I mention I hate electrical work?

And to keep the wife happy (note bath towel holding side cover), here's the deck a friend and I built last weekend... ya, I had time for that. Thank God he has skills. My crew has defected...

Good one Mike! Hey Scott I just got home and will be chasing my electrical gremlin tomorrow. You will be bringing your bike and if we have to, we will finish it together at Barbers. I heard your painter is on the edge of a cliff as well. Lou

Yup, no bushes around that deck!

So I finished re-wiring the pick-ups late last night (thanks for the wire Cranky - and everything else)... Slapped everything together, put the battery on the wood plank, clicked off the kill switch, flipped the chokes... and realized it was after midnight.

So I waited patiently until 8:30 this morning (that's ok on a Sunday right?) and hit the button... Well, I have a running motorcycle!!! Only ran it for a minute, but it seemed to rev smoothly through the range. Shut it off to rousing applause from the crew! I'll run it more later today and look for leaks, tweak the carbs, bask in the glory, etc.

Now regarding paint... Steve can do no wrong and he's coming through with the essentials. He's had a zillion SHOW BIKES to take care, but I'm not nearly as picky or should I say cranky, about how my paint looks! Hopefully Steve is ok with letting less-than-perfect paint out of his shop... At this point, I think he just wants it OUT! (Payment in cash, tips in alcohol.)

Lou thanks for the offer ...and all your other help!

Yes cranky maybe but feeling a little better as the bikes are loaded in the van as ready as they will be for the Barber event. There is just a little time to finally post some build pic taken over the last 8 months thrash to get "little HArry" the TT put togther. The machine is a Harris rapide with a 750 old school sportsracing motor originally supplied in Bills (pantahgood) TT. Its set up to be a hot street bike but will be used on Monday track day at Ducstock.
