Well, you found some nice things for your project. But I think you answered your own question when you said a "standard" 280mm rotor; that is what the stock F1 used. The bigger ones were upgrades for racing, and do require adapters and 4-piston calipers. There are at least three different aluminum centers; the ones you found were the late versions. They are also really meant for 17 wheels; getting a caliper onto a 300mm rotor on a 16-inch wheel is near impossible with the disc spaced between the forks. MikeV
