I know that Yamha FZR forks were used on Pantah and Alazzurra racers and have secured a pair of forks, but I were wondering if anybody knew wether the crowns or triple trees fit the pantah frame or wether I will have to mill out the crowns that I have for the 38mm fork legs

What size are the FZR forks? Are you going from 35mm pantah forks to 38mm FZR forks? Sorry just curious. Lou

Hi BendikB.... There are more things to consider than just the diameter of the yoke bores. Axle diameters, fork leg center to center, brake caliper center lines, space between the inside of the fork lowers for the different clamps, offset difference ( changes to handling) new spacers etc. etc. Regardless of what you decide there is going to be some machining involved. If the Yamaha axle is the right diameter you could use the FZR triples and then there will only be some basic lathe work and new steering stem bearings to deal with. Regards... Flattop

Flattop Yup, I have the complete front end of the FZR w/ wheels, discs and calipers as well as the triple trees so the easiest would be to swap over, but I have not looked at difference in trail etc yet. So I was wondering wether anyone had any experience. I also have a Astralite 17" wheel that I could use but that would mean making spacers etc

I have not owned a F1 so I would also ave to ask if the crowns for F1 and Pantah share the same dimensions and are interhangeable?

The 38mm F1 clamps are 195mm center to center, the later 40mm forks are 205 center to center. Good luck. Lou
