What ever happened to the Lou Saif's TT1 which was up for auction on Ebay some months ago does anyone know if it was sold and how much it sold for?? To all the board members, all the best for Christmas and hoping 2012 is a good one.

Hi Ducfan, that TT1 on ebay (unfortunately) was not owned by me! It was an ex-Jimi Adamo racebike that I was asked to restore a few years ago. The bike sold after the ebay auction to Jeff Nash at Advanced Motor Sports in Texas. He seems happy with her. On that note, Happy Holidays to you all, and thanks for sharing on the 'Forum'. Best Regards, Lou Saif

Thanks for the info Lou, I look at the photos of that bike and the pile of parts I have for my TT1 build, and the list of stuff I still need, the more I think I should have sold something (house, cars, wife, soul, etc) to finance the purchase it would be a great investment. Which leads to the next question. Would anyone have the same swing arm as used on the Jimi Adamo TT1 who could provide the dimensions to have a replica made? If there were a few members interested it would make the price a bit more reasonable. I know there are alloy arms available but having seen one they are compleatly different to the one used on the Adamo bike.

Thanks Bill, Merry Christmas. Well Ducfan keep pushing that pile of parts and all of us on the Forum will do our best to help you along. I just sent Steve Munro my 'original' TT exhaust off of my pride and joy so he can reproduce it for all of us. I think swingarms and other such parts are in the works with Steve at Loudbike. You also make a good point Ducfan, many of the reproduction parts that are being made for TT's seem to miss the mark as far as being accurate copies. This may be a by-product of not having originals to copy, or maybe manufacturing procedures compromise 'originality' or just trying to make the part better than it was originally. I will say this, Carlo's parts are pretty spot on and priced more than fairly. I find Old Racing Spare Parts can be hit or miss on accuracy and the quality varies even when ordering the same part. Prices are also quite high. Now Sports Motorcycles is back and making some bits as well as Two Wheeled Classics. I anticipate that with these new parts suppliers quality and availability of parts should get better. I'm sure Steve will read this and maybe can comment on the possibility of making a run of swingarms like the original verlicchi on the TT1. I would be happy to supply one to copy. Best Regards, Lou

Hi Lou Thanks for the reply. I have bought quite a bit from Steve so will get in touch with him as soon as he gets back from the new year break to see what he has planned. I checked with Carlo and he's drawn a blank as well, but he's keeping a look out for me. As you mention it's the time factor which is the problem with reproduction parts. I have been waiting for one of the copies of your exhaust from Steve but no word as yet. Wishing you and all the board members the very best for the new year. Bruce
