Hello friends, I'm trying to understand your problem.
I understand that the problem is the dust seal with the Ducati F1.
I do not understand all your speeches.
I do not understand my fault.
You must go to the website ATHENA and I must say what you think of this solution.
It may be that it is stupid.
We need to assemble the seal and the dust cover into two units.

I have a fork F1 adjusted by cutting the dust and then combine it with a silicone seal without the dust.

I hope you understand what I say.

Sorry for my English.

I wait a your advice. Ciao dall'Italia Carlo Leoncini.

OK it appears I am stupid

Pro-Italia already came back: Part cancelled, can you tell us what it is and we will explore, or words to that effect.

Stein Dinse: Order confirmed, parts on back order 12 weeks.....know what the answer will be in 12 weeks. :?

So might be easier to sell the forks as is where is and put the money towards another set of M1R's

HI Guys,

I am probably stupid or missing something but I did a quick google search of the Ducati Part No.(Ducati # 067037225) mentioned in this thread and came up with 2 online shops selling them; Pro-Italia (I just bought a set from) and Stein-Dinse (couldnt understand) but the photos look like what I am seeing on this thread, so lets home they are the right ones.

Hang in there if you can Ozzy, those forks are good ones. Hopefully some sort of work around isn't too far off.

Hello friends, I have already made a speech on a fork F1.
I mounted the oil seal that I was saying, and I cut the original dust cover.

The oil seal athena I told you that I have the nominal size of 52.2, but if you measure the oil seal at the bottom, is 52.5 to 52.6.

This measure allows you to center the seal and be able to tighten the rod perfectly central.

A small amount of liquid silicone, it is necessary to combine the oil seal to seal.

I already did this solution for now is working.

Sorry for my English. Carlo.

Thanks Bill, I am in no rush, I have a brand new M1R with trees and axle I got from Ian G so I intend to put these on the bike along with the 17" techno rims I got from Steve M. (along with 300mm Brembos and 4 pots), I just wanted a fix for the Forcelli's for later on.

Hello friends, I talked with a company that makes rubber gaskets, or seals.

I believe this company may be successful in project to develop the oil seal dela Ceriani from 40.

He told me to make a seal machined from solid.

I must bring him a sample of the original price and feel that he will do to me.

He told me he can do even a small production.

What do you think?

Think it is better that I wait for you?

You will make the seals before me?

But how do these questions ITALIAN?

FRATELLI, D'ITALIAAAAA ,L'ITALIAAAAAA, S'è DESTAAAAAA ,DELL'ELMOOOO DI SCIPIOOO ..................

You are the man Carlo! I have two n.o.s. seals if you need an unused one to measure or as a sample, let me know and I would be happy to send you one. Graeme and I were wondering if you ever talked to Paioli Meccanica S.p.A. (best done in your native tongue) to find out if they might still have the original tooling for the seals, or if they know what company made the seals for them? That company might still have the original tooling or molds. Paioli took over Nuova Forcelle Italia and Ceriani Arces in 1997. It might be worth a phone call if you could get thru to the right person.

Hello Bill, my friend must dismantle its Ceriani 40 mm.
He will give me the seal used to be able to reply.

I call you to PAIOLI, I will let you know what I say.

I spoke with a craftsman, he said to me that they can make small amounts of oil seals.

They told me years that the oil seal will be made from a piece billet by turning.

A friend of mine will go to speak for myself, the producer asked me if there is a seal inside the metal washer.

I will follow the two solutions, I am counselor with you, to make the best decision.

I hope you understood what I told you.

Now I go to bed.

Hello
