Here are some photos of an interesting Pantah engine racer just acquired by Jim Blomley in the UK: This machine was built around one of the last 750cc TT Formula 1 race-engines to leave the Ducati factory. The engine was supplied to Tony Rutter, who had it housed in a Harris aluminium beam frame equipped with WP suspension and AP Racing brakes. Rutter went on to campaign the completed machine at the 1988 and 1989 Isle of Man TT races and also achieved a 6th place at Monza in 1991 and a 4th at Assen, on both occasions competing against works machinery.

A bit numb after the Verlicchi,(it's quite wide) but once I'd scrubbed the tyres a bit I found the chassis was excellent.
Engine nice and linear too.
Unfortunately , after thirteen years of non-use the White Power forks leaked a bit.

Hello folks,

It's worse than I imagined, there are damaged parts in these 40mm White Power usd forks.

Now then, I have read that an American motorcycle ATK I think, which was an off-road machine, used WP forks.

Does anyone know where I might go for spares over at your side ?

Thanks in advance, and if I don't answer for a while it's because we are away for ten days as from Sunday.

salut,

Dick

Yes ATK used White Power, but dealers of that exinct marque are few and far in between.

A better bet would be KTM, as they used White Power from the early 80s into the mid '90s. Maybe later...
