Hi guys , I think that, I really will go in USA! One of my friend that live in Daytona, will borrow to me, his Ducati bike. I will be there together my friend Oreste Romeo (proprietary of the bike) and the great Reno Leoni. Reno will accompany me in USA. He said me that he will come with me in the commemoration to Barber. Oreste Romeo said me , he is going to register me in the category BOTT- Battle of the twins. ....guys..I have to have trust in him? I let look to you the bike of my friend: I am very happy for these exceptional events. I thank you for your big friendship for me. CIAO!! Carlo Leoncini.

Hi Carlo:
It's great to hear that you will be at Barber - I look forward to meeting you!
That's a good looking bevel racer, but it would be more fun if you were on a Pantah with Palmer, Robbins and me - we will be racing in BOTT as well on the F1s.

Hi Carlo, I would like to say it is a National Holiday in the USA but all birthdays are usually listed on the home page of the 'Forum'! Lou

Ok guys, some details. The most complete looking bike in the picture is actually my original NCR privateer bike which I am returning to it's original colors of red and silver. I was also ( thanks to Steve Munro) able to find a NOS NCR fuel tank to replace the old tank that was modified to take a more modern aircraft style cap. The seat and tank are ready for paint, and I will prep the fairing and fender for the new color this weekend. It is no fun taking a restored bike and re-doing the paint but I did not know all the history of the bike till this past September and it should be done right. The bike to the right is my other genuine TT1. She was raced successfully for many years, and actually won a BOTT race as late as 1993! Not a restoration as much as bringing her back to as raced condition earlier on. She was a 'little' tired when I got her.The bike with the primered frame is a no holds barred replica using all my 'rare' parts that I have collected during the years. Campy wheels, RGB 500 GP forks, NCR Double system shock, TT1 swingarm, 4 pot p432 calipers with NCR 300mm drilled out rotors, twin filler NCR fuel tank, NCR embossed catch bottle, etc. The motor in the bike is just a 'slave'. Two of my friends are building motors, first one done gets to race her at Barber! The bike on the lift is a street legal TT1 I have been building for a friend and has been taking me a long time to build. My plan was to make a TT you could live with everyday. Not easy. Made a custom seat to house a larger battery, right side harris kickstand, baffled pipe, shortend aluminum fuel tank (better for the 'family jewels') 17" front marvic, 18" rear marvic so I can use a standard coutershaft sprocket, headlights, brakelights, Motogadget tach with speedo and stuff, 300mm SS brembo rotors with quick detach brakes, M1R's. I will not build another streetbike! Too much stuff to worry about. The nicest think about a racing TT is it's simplicity of design, uncluttered. The other bike on the workbench was a DM frame that Steve Munro has 'kidnapped'. Hopefully he can make something with the parts, or just sell them back to me! Well that's enough for now guys, hope this wasn't too boring. Lou
