Is that shock anything more than a pivot? MikeV Attachment:

Whether it works or not is irrelevant. Function follows form.

That rear carb seems to be really turned out! Certainly not my choice for a ride. Paul

It should work well enough up to the right turn limit! Hope it has enough droop to grip when the exhaust levers it off the pavement.

Maybe it needs knobbies and a plank for a seat.

if you take a line thru swingarm pivot and lower shock mount, the shock is almost at right angles to that. depends where the lower mount goes from there. generally, the shock moves toward a right angle at max compression for a rising rate? it probably has a lowering rate as the lower mount moves forward. be interesting to see. i saw one late 50ss with an almost vertical shock. i was wondering if it would get to the point where the lower shock mount went past the line and pulled the wheel up. certainly looked odd.

This goes in the category of 'poser bikes'.
Oil your beard, wax your mustache, put on your stripey clothes + open face helmet, and head straight to the cafe to masturbate over Roland Sands.
Everyone's gotta start somewhere right?
