This not quite finished bike suddenly appeared in in the lineup last weekend at our Swenson memorial bike display. Obviously not a “replica” I tried putting a magnet to the frame and it did not hold. Its aluminum!
Delicate nuances abound on this thing. Who could possibly be behind such a custom?

There was an Italian firm collecting orders to start a batch of 5 about a year ago.
But I guess they made them, cause they're nowhere to be found.

I think Cranky is just messing with me. I have been building this bike over the past few months. It was something I have wanted to do for a while and all the pieces just started to fall in place. I had been stripping some aluminum parts over the years and putting them in a box figuring one day I would make a bike with no paint. Last summer I ordered a Holt aluminum tank for another project and the waiting time was 33 weeks! Over the winter Steve Munro offered me the last of the Romanelli motors, it's new old stock silver 650. Reno Leoni called me to wish me a Happy New year and I asked him if DM had any aluminum frames, and could he get me a good deal. He did, and I bit the bullet and received it a few days later! As you guys know I had that polished swingarm and some old 16 inch Marvics. I guess all the parts just finally showed up on there own. I am a bit broke as I put most of everything on my credit card so I guess my priorities are a bit distorted! I am trying my hat at fabricating some aluminum so the fairing seat and catch bottle will be a real challenge. Hope you guys like how she looks. I promise to post some more pictures. I didn't earlier cause I wasn't too sure about the whole idea. Lou

Hi Mike, yes I am going to give it a try. I always liked the look of some of the old alloy bikes. The TT has a mechanical and functional beauty that I was trying to show. I was thinking a TT seat and oil catch bottle and a half fairing similar to the one I made on the Gulf painted TT1, but with a nicer shape since I am making it from scratch. Keeping my fingers crossed! Not a 'cafe' bike but just another variation on a TT racer. Lou
