Well, lack of places to go (Chinese bat virus restrictions, police/race/antifa riots, injured dog, unending rain, and apathy) has resulted in some progress on this project. Here are some photos of the engine, a simple 583cc. I will add a few comments about some details later, some in the technical section because they may be of help to others. MikeV Attachment:

HC pistons from Phil at Road and Race, modern 600/620 cylinders and belt rollers, Carrillo rods, lightened balanced polished 58mm crank, NOS 600 Pantah gearset, new modern 400/600 wet clutch straight-cut primary gears, and a stock-but-light modern 600 flywheel for the Kokusan ignition I will use. And, using those fancy SKF roller bearings (thanks for the info Cranky) on the ends of the driving and driven shafts. Larger valves installed by Carlo (thank you Carlo). Using two 900SS H cams set at 110 degrees lobe center; with 4.5mm clearance on resting valves there is no valve-to-valve or to -piston conflict with this combo. Simple, it would all seem; watch for some comments in the TT Technical section later.

Polished, knife edged crank looks amazing. Should be a requirement for any proper TT engine build. Is this the results of your own efforts? Regards... Flattop

No, all the credit for the crankshaft work goes to Ben Fox Performance. MikeV
Note added 6/28/20: Yes, he knife edges, polishes, and then balances the crank to the rods and pistons.

Some of the small stuff. The official fairing fitting station. Can't tell you how many times I took a propane torch and a hammer to the muffler (I was not the first one) and a saw to the fairing to make them fit, and make the shift pedal work. I reinforced that skinny part at the back bottom ahead of time; that is a great place for them to break. MikeV Attachment:

Hi Mike... The crank is a show stopper nun the less. Did they also do the rod and piston balance? I think your fairing fitting station is brilliant. Just need some Vernier adjusters on those saw horses. I have to install a rudder on an 34 foot sailboat and may have to borrow your "MacGyver" hat to accomplish that task. Flattop.

I am looking at the photographs, I see that my name appears, I understand that I have done the headings in the past, but the details elude me with the translator, I hope everything is ok! Cranky is like Leonardo da Vinci, whoever stops him that ...
